The images below are from the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan where I was a guest teacher in Gary Osborne's Junior Fashion Design class. The project was presented to the class of over 20 students to create full runway looks based on the concept of persona presented on social media. We looked at many examples of persona, from Kylie Jenner to Cindy Sherman. We studied tapestry weaving and made samples to prepare for the final design. Everyone constructed their own large loom and presented to the class the concept for their look. I planned all curriculum, and oversaw the entire process from initial concepts to finished garments. Keep scrolling to see photos of our process and the final runway show, presented at the BFDA in Brooklyn.
